Citica help please

Featured Replies

My Citica 200D level wind sometimes if I'm reeling slow will go all the way to the left and stay there, all I have to do to correct this is speed up my retrieve, but something is wrong here. Shimano's website say Possible cracked pawl cap or missing pawl cap and pawl, replace pawl cap and pawl if needed, and under that it says, Possible damaged idle gear or worm gear. I don't think it has anything to do with the gears because it super smooth. The pawl cap is there. Any idea what's wrong?

Thanks

Joe

Have 2 of them and have never heard of this. If reelmech sees this he'll reply. If not, send him a PM...

Have you checked the pawl to be sure it isn't damaged?  I would try replacing it just to see if it helped.  Also be sure the spacer under the pawl is there it is part #830 in schematic.
