I've used Mann's Lil George on & off over the years with varying degrees of success. Have any of you had much luck using this oldie? I mainly use it for smallies, fishing deep, in the early spring or late fall periods. I'm thinking, this should actually be a great presentation for the time of the year; maybe I'm not presenting it correctly?

The Lil George is very effective this time of year where I'm at. I will cast it into the shad pods and just let it free-fall all the way to the bottom, then yo yo it back to the boat. If I dont get any bites like that, I will go to a more horizontal retrieve and burn it back. Dont give up on it, its a great fall season bait when all the bass are chewin' on those 2"-3" shad.

You need to stick with it.  Perhaps you should buy it in some different colors next time you are at the tackle shop.
