I have all Quantum reels I picked up this year. I am trying to clean them and am having problems getting the handles off. Can anyone please tell me how to remove the handles?

These are casting reels. These are last years energy pt and tour edition pt reels there is no nut to take off. This is the problem. >

Directions to remove handle:

Quantum's new Tour Edition and Energy baitcast reels have a new and unique handle design. This design eliminates any looseness between the handle and crank shaft. It also eliminates the use of a handle nut, washers, and cap, for a sleeker look. So removing the handle is different than any other product. To remove the handle; tighten the star drag all the way down. Push and hold down on the handle ratchet (black round ratchet located under the handle). Note: If the handle ratchet is hard to push down , you might need to hold the spool and rotate the handle forward slightly. Then twist the handle backwards to remove

This help me like you wouldnt believe. I just wish i got your reply before i broke two of them. just trying to turn the handle without pushing down the handle ratchet. Oh well live and learn just need to order a few parts :'(
