Question about Heddon Lure

Featured Replies

Hey Fellas: I have a lot of fun with Jitterbugs, and i have been seeing this lure around for years and ordered one to try. Avid said that he had trouble because the flaps do not open all the time. Has anyone used these ? Any problems, and what are the solutions to these problems?

Thanks Muddy

They are "ok".  I agree with Avid, the are not flawless.  It makes a VERY similar sound as the j-bug also.  So much so, I think it would be redundant to throw that one too.  I'll throw a few in the drum set if you ever get your _ _ _ up here!  ;)

Love those Crazy Crawlers  ;) I use to have an all glow in the dark one an it was all I used to thorw when I wa night fishing, wish I could find one again. Never had an issue with the flaps. Comes back like a jitterbug but it kind of wobbels up and down where as the bug goes side-to-side. Definatley a weird bait. Still love them though.

Fished a night tournament on Lake Nacogdoches several years ago. First two hours nothing but dinks. Tied a black(whatelse) Jitterbug on and weighed in five the next morning at 24.89lbs. Had not thrown one in years and have not thrown one since. What am I thinking?
