suggestions

Featured Replies

Just got a carrot stik, flippin stik style just wanted to get some suggestions on a reel will be using it for pitchin and flippin obviously but probably on the susquehanna flats for stripers as well...what do you guys think....

You didn't give much info. Like price range or specific brand you prefer. If it were me I would get a Shimano Citca CI200DSV or a Shimano Curado 300DSV both are last years models and can be purchased at a fraction of retail price. Personal preferance is the Curado because of the line capacity for those long striper runs but either of those reels should fit the bill. Only problem might be such a heavy reel on a light rod.

I use Revos for my heavy duty baits in cover, I love the extra drag power. Revo will give you plenty of power for fishing strippers as well. I have 4 STXs and a Revo Toro.

Really depends how much you're looking to spend. Revo S - $100, Revo SX $170ish(I think that's the new price), Revo STX $200.

Cool thing is, with the purchase of a SX or STX you get a free pair of $130 wiley x sunglasses.
