Has anyone tried the black or silver max abus? Im thinking about getting one havent heard mutch about them.

I bought a Silver Max on sale last fall for a backup.... Had it out a few times. It feels like a nice, solid reel. Pretty smooth. Not a Revo but for $50 you could do a whole lot worse.

I have one that I picked up for about 28.00 new and it is pretty nice. More imporantly, upon comparing it to a handfull of of 60 dollar range reels, it was definitely the better made one.

If your going to get one it should be the silver max I bought a black max for my first bc and my friend got the silver and it's a lot better. Casts better and is smoother than the black max.

i have a black max.  i like it, for $50 i think it is a great reel.  like someone else said, it is NOT a revo, there is a very noticable difference between the two.
