2008 lures

Featured Replies

Has anyone used or seen the 2008 Lucky Craft Fat Mini crankbaits? What new baits (any company) will work well next year in shallow murky water?

In my last bassmaster they had something in there about a crank that lucky craft is coming out that is covered in real fish skin. I guess they use squid skin as the outside cover and paint over it. Sounded cool interested to see if it can out fish a normal plastic or wood crank. The idea behind it is it will gradually release scent while you fish it. I honestly dont think it will make a huge change.

Nope, but I am not allowed in BPS at this time of the year so maybe I can see them after January 7th when the BCS National Chamnpionship resides safely in the SEC for another year.

LC is an expensive lure but I can at least look at it.

I have no idea if this new lure will perform differently from other lures in its class so I will wait for the reports on this site before considering purchasing one.

How about going out and buying a few, testing them, and then giving us a report?

Thanks and Merry Christmas.

I have the new Bassmaster too and I might pick a few of the baits out and see how they work. I probably couldn't really tell their effectiveness until the spring. Any suggestions on which baits I should try?

I honestly didnt see to many lures in there that got me to interested. a few that looks like gimiks. The only thing that caught me eye was that lucky craft crank with real fish skin. And not that im interested in buying one but just wondering if it increases catch numbers at all.

basstrix swimbaits will be the hottest lure of the year. good luck finding them except on ebay

There are plenty of baits just like them now that are able to be mass produced and sold at a cheaper price.
