The carrot stixs aren't as stiff as other MH.  You should be able to pitch a 1/4 no problem and probably an 1/8 depending on the hook size and plastic you are trying to pitch.  I'm not going to say that it's the best rod out there, but I haven't found one that would beat it for 150.00.  They make great light t-rig rods.

I pitch plastics accurately with as little as 1/8oz on my 7' 6: XH/XF flippin' stick so i know it can be done on a carrot!!
