New rod to replace a Lew's Speed Stick

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone.

I just sat on a Lew's Speed Stick that I've had for years. It is paired with a Lew's baitcasting reel. I've have other baitcasting combinations but really liked whippy, flexible Speed Stick rod.

Can you make a recommendation or two of a baitcasting rod that would be similar to the flexible action of the Spped Stick?

Thanks.

Go on out and start shakin' a bunch, you'll find one you like.  Maybe check some Ugly Sticks.

I have a band new never used 6'6" Lew's Speed Stick I will sell you if you are interested. I won it in a tournament about 10 years ago and has been sitting in a rod rack in my basement ever since.

Going out and shaking a bunch of rods will tell you absolutely nothing. Take a spooled reel and a lure with you and button it up. That's the only way to get any kind of feel for a rod, and then that's not 100%. If the store refuses,(And I have never seen one that would) move on to the next retailer.
