I havn't had a chance to handle the new daiwa fuego a bc my local cabelas did not have any in stock. Has anyone here handled these reels? My question is if there is a difference in size between the 2500 and 3000 or is the spool the only difference?

    looking at the specs, there is a significant weight difference between the 2500 and the 3000 and so you would have to assume that the difference is more than just the spool. by the way, you can demo the fuego for free for one week at www.***.com (pay only for shipping).

    I had seen the weight difference and thought the same. Still a pretty light reel even in the 3000 size. Thanks for the input.
