Hi guys, got cabin fever up in here NJ so i've been doing some maintenance and house cleaning. I bought a Abu Garcia Silvermax already mounted so it had no box. I've looked through the abu garcia site and could not find schematics for it, even through searching. I could find a gold max, or black max series but no silver lol. I was wondering if anyone could send me a link to the schematics or repair guide that came with the box or tell me where i could find this info? Only other option i found was some paysite but i think its ridiculous to have to pay for something like this. Thanks in advance

Click on Garcia under parts.  When it asks for the year and model just select 2008, don't put in a model.

You'll get a list of reel models available.  Ever since Southwest changed their website I have lots of problems with it loading and with errors on the Acrobat plug-in.    Good luck

hey thanks for the headsup!  i got no idea which silvermax model (either 1700 or 1800) i have but i downloaded the pdfs for all of em.  Great resource, much appreciated  

This link is awesome.  Thank you for showing the way to schematics.  The guts of my Silvermax exploded and I had no clue what to do.  Using these diagrams, I was able to reassemble the darn thing and get the kicklever and spring back to where it should be.

Just a reminder, there are two eras of the Abu Garcia Silvermax. One is the 90s model Round and the other is the current Low-Profile. The 1700 schematics should be for the right hand low pro, and the 1800 should be for the left hand.
