I packed my rods tonight in my custom Rod tube...(kinda depressing..) last night fishing in the states for a while...) I left all the rods in there socks and raped the tips in bubble rap and placed them in my 4" diam /1/4 thick pvc tube.. 3 going one way and three going the other... do you guys think they will be ok like that? Thats the way they always come in th mail...

I would probably wrap the tips, not rape them.

I would say they're fine, but how they're handled is gonna determine if they survive.

That'll teach those rod tips  ;D

Seriously, one more thing you might consider would be to tightly tape all the rods together with the butt sections sticking out a litte further than the tips.  This will prevent the tips from slamming into the end of the tube when the luggage handler treats the tube like a javalin.
