99 cent Roboworms...

Featured Replies

Nope, no joke. While sometimes I feel like I advertise for some company's, I do like to share where bargains can be found...to a point.

I was out wandering today, and I happened into a Sportsman's warehouse. They have a january red sticker sale going on. Not much caught my eye, but they did have around 6 or 7 different Roboworm varieties on sale from $2.99 marked down to $.99.I got some shorter Oxblood thin tail worms and some fat green and brown 5 inch zippers. I forget the exact names, and I'm so tired, I'm too lazy to walk in the other room to get them. I think I got a third kind too, but it escapes me at the moment.

Yea, I went to our sportsmens and all they had was 4.5 in leach style in a shad color.  I had to pick some up for .99, even if I don't use them, one day I might have an empty spot in my worm box i'll need to fill.

Too funny, up here I'm alway's looking for a good plastic Leech for 'Eye fishing (I don't care much for real leeches). ;D On the right bite, they'll haul in good numbers of nice fish.

So I ended up getting a soda and grabbed the bag of worms. Here's what I got....3 bags of 5" original zipper green weenie, 4 1/2" straight tail Oxblood, and 2 bags of 6" Sculpin FX black bass. I figure if I catch one decent fish with one of the worms, I'll be ahead of the new lure I lost last summer when I snagged it on the bottom and the line broke. First time it got wet.

HAHA, that reminds me of that movie with John Candy - THe real outdoors when they are fishing using real leaches, fall asleep, and wake up and they are all over them.  Just watched that movie for the first time the other day, pretty funny movie.

Well i'm glad to see that your sportsmens had some good stuff left, I think ours had about 100 packs of the leaches and that all.

This is Walleye country up here. The biggest Holiday's in this state are, in order, Christmas, 4th of july, Walleye opener, Memorial day, Labor day, and Thanksgiving. Bass opener is around Memorial weekend, so it tends to get lost in the holiday's.

Don't forget the gun deer opener.   :)

Was this at the Woodbury store?

If it was, I took advantage of it as well.  I went back yesterday, and there was the oxblood colored 6" robotails for 99cents.

I've never used them before, so I tested them out in the pool.  They all work exactly like I had hoped.

They also sell the Daiwa Fuegos and Sols for $179 there.

This was the St. Cloud store. I was in the Coon Rapids store too, becouse I was down in the cities (I went to Thorne Bros. too). 8-) I didn't even notice the sale when I was in the CR store, I was looking at low cost 'Eye trolling rods. I did notice they still had right hand Sol's and Fuego's for $179 and LH Sol's for $159. No lefthand Fuego's. It's a good thing I got mine shipped up from KS when I did.

LOL, oh yeah, I only do some wing hunting, so I tend to not think of Deer opener. I guess that would be tied with 'Eye opener.
