Kistler Spinning Rods

Featured Replies

Cabelas has the Kistler Argon Spinning rods on sale for $139 and I was interested in the ASWTW69S MF M as a Crankbait rod due to the Moderate Fast action. I also see in a recent issue of Bassin(June/July) they are coming out with an All Purpose 7 Foot rod. This will be a Magnesium series MgAPM70S from the site info in the magazine www.freshwatertackleshop.com that the rod is not available yet. There also isn't any info on the Kistler site at this time on the new rod.

Curious about the Argon model since I know the Magnesium model isn't out yet but they are both in the $139 price point.

The Argon is a great rod. I have the Worm Rod and love it. For the money the Argon at the same price as the Magnesium is the way to go.

Just got a responce on the Kistler site in regards to the rods I was thinking bout and seems the Magnesium MgAPM70S is out of stock and won't be continued in the Kistler lineup for 2010.

Trey Kistler recommended the Argon ASWTW69S as the best rod of the 2 for using with shallow and medium diving crankbaits. Since it's on sale at Cabelas I'll be checking it out either tonight or saturday to see what it feels like.

Thanks for your input as well Uncle Leo

I agree with Trey but then again he should know as he makes them.
