Need some help

Featured Replies

I started fishing again recently like this past summer. I was throwing the shaky head worm and the wacy worm. What are the best brands to throw for both of these types of baits? Currently in my tackle i have for skaky heads are gulp and strike king. Are there any better brands than those. For the wacky rig i have sum yum and bass pro sticko. Are there any better brands than those?

Now for crankbaits i have alot of those. To be honest i like the bandit crankbaits cuz of there price. But should try the more expensive ones like the lucky craft?

any info would be helpful thanks

bj64m,

Welcome to the forum!  As far the shaky worms, you can try some of the Zoom worms.  For the stick baits you can try the Senko.  You can get some good deals on this style of bait on this forum.

I use the zoom finesse worm alot for shakey head and drop shotting.

I also use the zoom trick worm on the shakey head.  Both seem to work well.

As for crankbaits, I have come to the conclusion that they all work.  some are excellent during specific conditions, but they all have their place.

I own everything from Wal-mart sale items to custom built and Lucky craft and megabass.  The lipped cranks I seem to have the best luck with are wiggle warts, Rick clunn 1.5  and bagley's

First off, welcome to the forum.   You'll get some primo answer shortly.

I like to throw zoom trick worms wacky rigged.

Hookem

Matt

Wave worm tiki stick

Kinami senko

BPS has a few kits on sale

Nortland slurpies work great and BPS has a 44 piece kit of those for ONLY $12.99

The brand name gary yamamoto in my opinion those senkos are too soft eventually tearing, ripping, breaking after a couple of catches

Not only is his shipping more than resonable he always throws some extra stuff for each customer usally cutting the shipping by 40%. You should always try to order more than one bag of 2.50 stuff anyway. Try him out beofre you knock him :-/

PS Check his shipping it is a lot better than BPS

trick worms=very versatile bait!

carolina,split shot,weightless,jig head,texas rig/weight,wacky,wacky with a weight,dead stick,topwater....just a killer bait!

do a trickworm search here and you will find many posts about how people are using them and their favorite colors. :)

I love zoom finese worm, have about every color they make. Gambler also makes a good finese worm and I'm sure others are just as good.

I love bandits also, good choice. Change to an oval split ring and your good to go, they are hard to beat. Their color selection is also amazing.
