Abu Garcia Revo Dissasembly

Featured Replies

I need some help dissasemblying my Revo Premier.  I have a schematic and have removed all obvious parts that appear to hold the cover in place - it won't budge. :-X

Remove palm plate.

Remove spool to access hidden screw on the inside of the crank plate.

Remove 3 screws on outside of crankside plate.

Remove handle assy completely including the drag nut.

Crankside plate should now come off.

I am anxiously awaiting the post that says you are having problems getting it back together correctly. Good luck, I had to send a lot of them to the repair shop when I first tried to bench my reels. It's a labor of love that will leave you drinking.

Each piece MUST go back exactly as it describes or you will end up just buying a replacement. I hope it works for you, I think I still have a few basket cases in a drawer or two.

If you stay at it you will figure it out.

Good luck,

Jack
