What kind of equipment are most of you using to throw swimbaits?   I am getting ready to place an order for some of the Matts Lures Blue Gills.  They are 1oz.  I usually dont throw anything that heavy with the exception of an occasional spinnerbait.  I assume ill use a bait casting set up but Im curious about any suggestions people might have for Pole reel and expecially line?  Thanks!!

As for line, I use 25 lb. Berkley Big Game.

If that's all your going to throw and nothing bigger, most MH rods are rated to throw those.  I used to throw the 3:16 mighty minnow which is 1.2 oz with a BPS Extreme 7' MH with a Citica 200 with 12# P-Line (Might have been a little light for it).  I caught 3-5 pounders with ease with this setup.   As far as bigger baits go, I use a Okuma 7'6 H with a cardiff 400 with 25# power pro
