Any special tips. Just got my first baitcaster reel and dont want to make any mistakes.  You guys usually use mono on baitcasters?

    not really... for me its pretty straightforward.  I tie an ARBOR KNOT around the spool pull it tight and start winding on line. Just make sure that you have line going onto your reel the same direction it comes off the spool of line. I also take a towel and grasp the line tight as im winding the line on. Fill to about an 1/8in. from the lip of the spool on your reel. Hope this helped!
