At gander mountain they were having all these sales. Saw a Fenwick HMX Xheavy for $37! I know its not the best rod in the world, but i figured its a good deal for fishing in heavy pads and crappy weeds. Seems to be a nice rod, and all you guys have had nothing but good to say about fenwick rods, (too bad theyre still not made in USA)

    Sounds like a good deal you got for yourself. The places that I fish don't have enough cover to justify an XHeavy rod.
