this bait (in "black shad" color) looks like it would be just awesome to fish over bass beds in the spring or along open shoreline in the summer! i think im gonna get one. what do you guys think? http://www.***.com/descpageBAGHARD-BBF.html#

yea bud i like using lipless cranks alot for bass guarding eggs/fry  i personally discovered a nice little way to get bites that time of the year. well first i like fishing very shallow open water  definety slighting for beds  well try casting it to the back side of the bed and let it sink to the bottom  then slowly reel it in  then when u get the bait over the bed pause it and let it lay on the bed  this almost always works for me   even big fish will hit it.  i like a crawfish or real dark color

yeah i was thinking of doing that exact thing! so that way it looks like the bluegill is eating the eggs. wouldnt the bait lay on its side when it rests in the bed though? bass probably wouldnt care...theyre all hormonal and what not ;D ;D

yup excaltly its awesome bluegill are too small and too timid to go after eggs so i like a craw color or a dark minnow color just because its very natural. and just for a few more fish try replacing the hooks with red ones exspecially if the water is clear. the fish hit it harder with them

yea the bait normally will stand up for a few seconds then will fall over but them angry bass just want it off their bed
