Pflueger Supreme that looks like a Trion

Featured Replies

I've seen a few, even brand new ones, for sale on eBay. Model # is SPL-6BBH, but I can't find any info on it. It's looks a lot like a trion LP, but not identical. Might have a twitching or flippin' switch on the back. Any one know anything about this reel?

Those were sold exclusively through Bass Pro Shops in the mid to late 1990's when Pflueger kind of made a "comeback". Without digging through my old catalogues, I think the weight was about 10oz, maybe six bearings and I think the gear ratio was 6.?:to 1 and a flippin' switch. If I remember correctly they sold for about $100.

Huh. Thanks for that great info Crankenstein.

Anyone ever use one?

Back in the day, when they were called casting reels, Supreme was Pfluegers' top of the line as I remember. I think they were trying to bring back the name. I own a Pflueger President and I bought my son a Trion. They are both nice reels and work fine. I found a seller on eBay (simmons sporting goods) that had a great deal on Quantum Accurist PTs, brand new in the box for $60 each. I like them better then my Pflueger.
