Frog Rod

Featured Replies

I posted earlier about trying to find a descent frog rod. Cabelas has a buy one get one free on their casting rods. Would the 7'6" version work well with what i am looking for? Also would i get the xh? or H?

Thanks,

7'6" is a great length for a frog rod.  It will help you make longer casts, and more positive hook sets.

Usually I'd say for fishing heavy slop the XH is the way to go, but if the ratings on these rods are anywhere close to accurate I'd go with the H.  Their XH appears to be rated as a swimbait rod.
