I was at the local Gander Mountain tonight looking at a new Pflueger Trion low profile because they had them on sale for $79.99 and needed a new low profile reel anyway.

While at Gander Mountain I saw a Pflueger reel that I did not know about. The sales person also showed me a reel that looked a lot like the Trion low profile, called the Contender low profile. It looks almost identical to the Trion low profile. The contender had been $129.99 and was on sale for $79.99 also.

I am wondering if anyone has experience with the Pflueger Contender low profile reel, and if so what is your opinion of this reel ?

I've never used it, but would bet that it is a good reel.  I've used trions for awhile before upgrading to higher end pfluegers and that reel looks very similar.
