Pflueger Asaro

Featured Replies

Picked up an Asaro for $70 at Bass Pro last week, after trying it out I like it better than my Shimano Citica I bought last fall, has anybody ever had any issues with these, I know Citicas are durable but what about the Pflueger?

The Asaro is a Summit with a few less bearings.  I have a Summit and it is a very good reel. It was my first 7 to 1 ratio reel.  You got a great price. They are small and if you have small hands it's a great match. It will handle lighter test lines well. I used mine for jerkbaits.

Enjoy !

I have owned both. The Citica is long gone but the Asaro remains.  ;)

The asaro is an awesome reel and you got a great price on it.  I have 1 and has held up well for the last couple of years.  IMO, pfluegers are the smoothest, most durable reels on the market and its hard to beat the price.
