Okuma Trio

Featured Replies

I picked one up a couple days ago, and so far I'm really liking it. It's pretty light, being put on a cheap Berkley rod weighs 15 oz total with line and a lure on it. The drag is smooth, and the forward drag knob is easily adjusted and very crisp feeling. It reels very smooth too. It almost seems like the bail is balanced as well. My other spinning reels will wobble with a fast turn of the crank. This one stays pretty still.

I picked it up to use as a finesse reel, being that its a 5:1 retrieve. I was messing with it in a pond behind my friends house catching some half pint bass, a little above a pound and a half at the most. It's got me excited to get out and put this thing to work.

Anyone looking at new spinning reel, don't count it out. I got it for 59.99 at my local Gander Mountain this weekend. I know the neck is a little weird, but it's very well built and I have zero worries about this reel.
