Berkley Transoptic

Featured Replies

Anyone used this stuff yet? I picked up some 12 for finesse jigging and a few other applications where the water is too clear for braid. I usually fish P-line fluoro-clear but they were out. >:D Seems pretty stiff and maybe looks like memory could be an issue. Hope I dont get let down by Berkley AGAIN! I like the visibility, but I wonder does this stuff fluoresce under blacklight? Bass see a much more broad UV spectrum, right? Wouldnt this stuff be visible to the bass above the water?! ;)

I have stayed away from the stuff, just sounds a little goofy. Berkely had a good idea, but I just dont see how the line would be that great.

only thing to do is try it out , you never know it might work out for you . is it that you can't see the line above water ?? most times in that situation i go by the feel of the line rather than sight . flourocarbon line would be better in my opinion ....
