i need  some advise guys!  i plan on using a st.croix triumph rod as my primary ragetail setup.it's 7ft. mh power with a fast tip, the reel is a 7:1 gear ratio, my question is is this a good setup or is it too fast to use?    thanks,   ted

    In my opinion the rod is perfect and the reel will be fine too.  For plastics I use a MH rod with Xtra fast tip.  With a 7:1 geared reel you can burn them or slow the presentation down.  Should be a great versatile setup.
