Anyone ever used a Megabass rod or reel? From what I understand they are made by Daiwa, and tuned by Megabass.

Just wondering if someone has used or seen them in person,and your opinion of them.

Megabass rods aren't made by Daiwa - they're made by Megabass.  The founder, Yuki Ito has collaborated with Daiwa over the years on some projects - including the beautiful TD-ito from 2003.  Recently, their relationship has become closer and a few of the new JDM reel introductions feature this collaboration.

I own a few Megabass rods.  Many of them are works of art - their attention to detail and fit and finish are stellar and they are a joy to fish with.
