Okuma Stratus STX

Featured Replies

Dick's sporting goods sent me a spring fishing flier, had a Okuma Stratus STX for $40 regularly $70 or the STX 55/56 for $50 regularly $80. Was wondering if anyone has had any experience with these.

My buddy has one and I couldnt believe how far it casts! I wouldnt suggest tossing lures under 1/4 oz with it though. He uses it for cranks and loves it.

I bought a 'dick's special' Stratus ST20 5 years ago, been waiting for it to quit or break. Nothing, it's been a great inexpensive real. I'm using it for 1/4-5/8oz cranks and with just a little basic service, it's the same now as when it was new.

I have 2 of the 40 size ones and they work great
