Tec Spec rod review

Featured Replies

I bought the 6'8 MXF "Finesse" Spinning Rod as an "emergency" rod to use for various stuff.

I have to say, these rods are legit. They're actually really sensitive and light, and the actions are crisp. I usually would never buy a Field and Stream rod....well anything Field and Stream actually, but I would definitely buy another one of these rods. I would pay $100 for one, too. If you guys ever need a rod in a pinch, be sure and try one of these out. Besides their performance, the appearance is on par with Vendettas.

I think the guides are Fuji Alconites, but I'm not positive. I know they're nice guides for a $60 rod.

Try one out!

Shhhhhhhh! They will raise the prices on you. In all seriousness, I have one too and like it. Is it as nice as my high end St Croix stuff? No but they are better than any $100 rod I've fished to date. They are nice sticks, backups or otherwise.
