Boyd Duckett Micro Magic Rods

Featured Replies

hey guys I have a chance to get a great deal on these rods and I'm wondering if I should pull the trigger on them. I would like feedback from ONLY those who have the rod or used them for some time okay. I would like to know what's your opinion on its sensitivity, balance, and how you either like or dislike the rod.

i had the 7ft 3in med hvy rod and used it for football jigs...it seemed a bit underpowered for the rating of med hvy  but i rly liked tho only problem i had was it was hard to drive a hook with it being so under powered but it got stolen with all my other rods so i no longer have it but it also was very light and felt great in my hands the first few trips i didnt notice the micro guides much but then i started to notice them in the smoothness of the cast and i got a bit of distance i would say go for it im pretty sure im going to pick up a few more of them to replace the rods i had stolen.

oh okay that 7'3" medium heavy is one of the rods I'm looking at.  I'm wondering how would it compare to my dobyns champion 733 rod.    I'm also trying to get the 7'6" flipping/pitching rod as well.
