Pinnacles new Perfecta series of rods are right at the 150 mark.  Pretty darn good rods for the money.  If you can spend an extra 30 bucks, the Crucial flippin sticks are fantastic rods.

Id take a look at the Abu Garcia Veritas rod, at $99 and its light and sensitive. If ya wanna spend a bit more I prefer the Powell 7105.

Take a look at the Dobyns Savvy series 766 FLIP. Just a bit over your price mark, but should be able to pick it up for under $150 on sale in a few days.

Tackle Warehouse should have a sale coming up here soon, you'll be able to pick up a Dobyns Savvy Series for a great price, and well worth it. Great rod, and very versatile. Can be a great back up frog rod or swimbait rod if need be.

Tackle warehouse is a great place to buy from. I suggest you go to a local shop and check stuff out first so you know what you want before you order.

I picked up a Duckett micro magic 7'10" a few months ago to replace a Castaway 7'6".

The duckett is a good stick. I like the addtional 4 inches. (thats what she said.. :))

I know most people would shy away from what seems like a cheap rod but the Field and Stream Tech Spec Flipping Rod at Dick's is awesome.  $60 for them and they perform like the expensive ones.  MH XF tip 7'6" Telescopic.  I have been using their rods for all kinds of applications, use their worm rod as a crankbait rod and it works really well.  The only downside is that their flipping rod is only good up to 1 1/4 oz, so if your flipping real thick stuff this may not be your gig.

Dobyns Savvy Flip. You would be able to get this rod with the %20 off sale at TW

I'm going to recommend the Dobyns Champion 765 FLIP or the 766 Flip ... now before you say it's too expensive (retail for $240), here's a little deal for you.

Right now at The Hook Up Tackle, they're offering 20% off with the coupon code "blacknovember". But 20% off is not getting you down to $150. However, go buy a gift card (probably one for $100 and another for $50) ... They will give you the 20% off the card. Then immediately use the GC for the rod; yes, they allow that. Now you can get an additional 20% off the rod. So ... basically about 40% off the rod if you do this. That will get you to your $150 mark!!  ;D

Better yet, call them and work this through on the phone. They're great people and will help you out!!

BTW, I'm not related to those folks. Just a customer! :)

Just when I thought I was out... They pull me back in!!

I would get the Lamiglas Excel 7116C for $120 at TW.....$95 with the black friday sale.  Then spend the rest of your $150 on jigs and flippin baits!  I have this rod and let me tell you it is a beast.  Rated to 2oz, made in the USA, lifetime warranty, can't go wrong!   ;D

It was worth trying, but it doesnt seem to be working. I did a $500 card and it showed $400 for the price, I paid and then nothing. No confirmation email, no receipt, no charge to my card. All I got was a blank screen that said "done". Ideas??

Gotta say the guys there are great, and they did give me the discount on both the gift card and my order. :) They now have my business.

Check out the Powells - 765 is good for all-around flipping, 766 for more serious slop.
