Zoom speed worm

Featured Replies

How about some tips on how to fish and when with a zoom ultravibe speed worm, please? Thanks gang. :-/

I USE THEM AS A TOPWATER SOMETIMES...

i also use them on a  one half ounce c rig

bubbler

Lift em' pretty high off the bottom and let them fall on a slack line. ;)

i swim them on top 99% of the time. i know people who use a small screw in weight and swim them just under the surface and as a swim bait. right now that is a hot bait for me, been crushing them on it.

Use a screw in weight or peg a weight (as light as you can -usually 1/8 oz) and swim it over submerged grass like milfoil or hydrilla.

I basically fish it like a spinnerbait. Sometimes, when the grass fish turn off the SB, you can throw a white one to mimmick a shad. Most times though I throw a green one.

I fish these about 90% of the time - T-rigged with the lightest weight sinker I can get by with - my tournament PB was taken on one of these fished in a large, submerged brush pile.  Hopped it through the branches and got nailed - had another one hit me about two minutes later in the same brush pile but hung me up and broke the line while we were trying to move the boat to it.  My goto color is June Bug and June Bug Red.

these are excellent baits...right up there with yamies swim senko, and alot cheaper...it's cool to fish em on top like a buzzbait or with a screw in like a spinnerbait, then just kill the action and voila....it's a good ole boy t-rigged 'rubber worm'  I too like the june bug, but down here in the tea colored waters of Northern south florida (for those of you who don't know where the treasure coast is) anything with red flakes is a populat color.

I've had alot of success with this bait on a Carolina rig.  I've caught a few swimming it, but I haven't ever really spent alot of time doing it.

One little trick Randall taught me is if you run out of senkos on a day where the fish are killing them, you can bite off the tail and have some makeshift ones.  They have a pretty nice wiggle weightless.

One of the best worms around.  It doesn't get a lot of talk...but I catch fish every time I tie one on.
