Well I just got my new Basstrix swimbaits and I'm excited to fish them because I hear they are awesome.

I accidently posted in the wrong forum so I will post it again here, hopefully a mod will take care of the other thread.

Anyway, my first question is what is the best way to fish this lure? My second one is, where is the best place to use this? How deep? Any particular time of season?

Finally, I got the 6" swimbait and I'm curious if this is the right hook I need?

These are listed on eBay, are these what I need or do I need bigger/heavier?

For 6" Bass Magic swimbaits I use a 10/0 weighted hook from Lake Fork Tackle.  They are monsters but you need the big gap to handle such large baits.  They don't have them on their website yet, but you can call and place an order over the phone---got mine Thur.  Call 800 408-2028 ext. 13 to place an order.

They have a 5/0, 7/0 and 10/0 size weighted hooks all with very wide gap which I think you need for these large swim baits.

not really comparable. a 6" basstrix is the same size as a 4" Bass Magic... for 6" basstrix I like a 5/0 or 6/0
