Powell

Featured Replies

Has anyone used the Powell 806CB? i was thinking about picking one up since they are on sale just for the hell of it. I already have a great deep crankin rod but for $124 i figured i could use it as a back up or something. But the one thing thats keepin me from getting it is i have friend who had the Powell spook/trap rod an i did not like it at all.

I have a buddy that owns one, he really like it. Im not into 8ft rods for crankin so I never got one. I would personally lean towards the 753 if you want a Powell. I have the 703 glass cranking rod and I love it. It is good for so many things, jerk baits, cranks and spinner baits. I do throw deep divers with it, but think Id prefer the extra length.
