I was looking for a good spinning reel and not wanting to pay a whole for it.  I have a quantum tenacity i bought at Dick's couple years ago and was wondering if anyone knew how much it weighed? I bought a vertias rod and the quantum tenacity just seems heavy on it.  Love the reel and how it operates but just seems heavy. Appreciate some help on this topic

Based on my limited research, Quantum spinning reels are generally heavier than comparable products from the other large reel manufacturers.

I can't find an exact weight for the Tenacity 40, but their lower-end spinning reels seem to run from 11 oz. to almost 13 oz. in the 40 size, so the Tenacity is most likely in that range as well.

You'll probably have to get another brand if your want something lighter and spend a little more money.
