centrifugal brake settings

I just got my stx in and been playing with it in the backyard,was wondering if any one can give be some info on the centrifugal brake settings and when i should use them or how.Its completly new to me never used a reel with dual breaking.

Set up your centrifugal brakes and cast control tension the same way as described in that thread and in addition, set your magnetic brakes to about 5 to start. If you start to backlash near the end of the cast, you can add more magnetic braking. Eventually, as the thumb gets "educated", you can reduce the magnetic down to 3, 2, or 1. After that, you still have your magnetic braking "in reserve" to handle varying conditions like wind.
