trying to decide whether to bring my gear over the winter break in my visit to KS. hows the fishing? what're they biting, if anything? and is it even worth bringing my tackle?

Well it's not exactly prime time, but they can be caught.  I probably wouldn't bother with bringing your gear.

Depends on where you're going.  I was in KC this week and everything was iced over.  Down here in SE Kansas most everything is open.  If you do bring your gear, pack light.  Black n blue jig n pig and black n blue baby brush hog is all you need.  Like KU said, probably not.

i'll be in the same city as KU so i prob won't bring my gear
