Question for Mo. anglers

Featured Replies

I move to Texas from Mo. in '91. Lived there 50 years before I moved. Truman was one hot lake then. I haven't seen any thing about Truman for several years. Is it dead or what? I remember talking to Denny Brauer and Chet Douthit at Bucksaw point about the fishing there. I sed to fish it a lot and am just curious since I will probably be going up that way this spring or summer and was thinking about doing a little fishing while there.

Truman is alive and well and doing fine.  Much like any new reservoir after it's initially impounded, it had it's hot years.  I was there during the mid to late 80's and I caught a lot of big fish there.  The crappie fishing was equally fantastic.  It's settled down quite a bit since then but is still a good fishing lake.
