Need Info On Lake Greeson, Arkansas

Featured Replies

All,

I have changed my vacation plans and decided that we are going to book a trip to Lake Greeson in August.  My wife and daugher chose this place because it is close to a public diamond mine that they can go to and dig for diamonds, they can keep what they find.  That will allow me to fish all I want.  I will be hauling my boat down from Northern Virginia and I am looking for any and all information that you can provide to me so I have a successful fishing trip.  I would really like to hear from locals that have fished the lake before if possible.  I expect that it will be hot and humid that time of year and that I will need to fish deep water.  Is there a good top water bite early mornings and early evenings?  Will deep diving crankbaits produce for me on this lake at that time of year?

Thanks in advance,

Ron

Whats up guys, doesn't anyone fish this this lake?  If not then I guess I won't have to worry about a pressurized lake.

You might check the Arkansas Game & Fish web site they post weekly fishing reports for most of the lakes in the state including Greeson. I saw that they found a 6+ caret and a couple 3+ caret diamonds at the mine last year.  Good Luck
