Second week of June??

Featured Replies

Hey fellas I am looking for some suggestions. I am visiting Branson the second week of June. I will definitely be trying Taneycomo this year (and would welcome any advice you may have) but I was wondering if there are any smaller bass lakes in the Branson area that I could hit while I am there. I am not going to be able to afford a guide on Table Rock so any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

I have never fished taneycomo, but I have seen and heard about a ton of bass in there. There are some nice ones too.

I go down to Taneycomo every year a for trout fishing trip. My trip this year is the last weekend in July. For trout, you can usually do very well with powerbaits (dough bait) and lures like cleo's or small spoons on spinning gear.

If you're looking to bass fish taneycomo, I can't offer much advice. My feable attempt throwing bass lures have yet to yield a bass on Taneycomo. Granted, I spend 99.9% of my time trout fishing while there since it's a trout fishery. My advice would be to fish Table Rock (even without a guide) before fishing Taneycomo if you're looking for bass.

Good luck, and I hope you have fun on your trip.
