captzapp
High winds, sleet, and snow. Out of 46 boats there were 3 limits and a total of 51 fish caught. None of which were mine. I could only manage 3 short fish and a crappie. Most of the fish were caught on white spinner baits with white twister tails. Some were also caught on cranks. Sounded like most of the fish came from secondary points or back of coves. What a weekend!
Super User cart7t Posted April 14, 2008 Super User Share Posted April 14, 2008 I was supposed to go down to LOZ this past week for my annual 4-5 dayer. Took Thurs and Friday off. With the crappy lake report, then pouring rain on Thursday followed by high winds Friday followed by way too cold on Sat and Sunday........ ugghh. Glad I stayed home. Sorry your trip didn't turn out any better.
Quinn
Yea it was nasty. I talked to a guy at a Marina and he said the tournaments were going rough. We were snagging all day for the paddle fish. Caught some nice ones, and didn't even bother getting the bass rigs out.
longhair
I can't believe how muddy it is! The big Niangua where I am at is one brown mass of water. The rains really loaded it up. Not sure if the rest of the lake is like that though...
