Ok guys, Ive got a tourney on the Arkansas river in early July. Ive never been there and I was wondering if anyone had any pointers on what to look for to target those big river bass I keep hearing about!! Send me a PM if you feel like helping a fellow angler out!! I appreciate it.

Me and truffle fished a bfl on robert kerr, in oklahoma, which is an arkansas river locke lake.  Just remember it will be super muddy, try to find a clear creek, spinnerbaits with gold blades, white crank baits.... about anything that makes some noise... my boater caught quite a few on a brown jig with brown craw trailer.

There has been near record rainfall flowing into the Arkansas.  Expect the water to be high, muddy and fast moving.

With the river as high as it is, the usual spots arent possible to fish. PM me if you want some of the better areas. I fish there a lot and used to fish the Tuesday night tournies but havent even fished it this year.
