Hi all,

Just checking in from Monroe, LA. I was just wondering if anyone is having any luck right now around north louisiana in general. I'm asking because the temperatures are hovering somewhere around 100, with the heat index almost hitting 110 almost daily. Heck, it's 95 degrees and it's midnight right now..absolutely ridiculous. The past several times I've been out I've been completely skunked, not even a look. I accept that part of it is being a novice to this fine sport, but I can't help thinking this re-friggin-diculous heat is also part to blame. I hope someone says heat isn't affecting the bite, because it's only gonna get hotter in august... :'(

unfortunately heat does affect the bite. my advice is wait for a rain to come, if there's any

May I suggest trying your luck by fishing deeper?

The bass will head to deep water for the cooler water.

If you still don't catch anything how about watching the LSU-Ohio State BCS Championship game?  It is a great view.  ;D
