GitRDoneIke23
I need some advice on fishing the South end of Lake Houston, around Dunsen Park. I'll be taking a 10 year old kid who just lost his dad. He lives pretty close to the South side so I figured I'd take him there. I don't plan on taking a boat, and I'd like to start him of on bream, and that kinda stuff, then work up to bass as his love of fishing increases. Also Sheldon Resivior is near by (actually closer!!!) And if anybody has some tips for that I'd appreciate it!! I've fished there once, but I don't know it too well. Thank's a ton!!! -Ike
Super User fishfordollars Posted October 2, 2008 Super User Share Posted October 2, 2008 Buzzbaits on the dam on Lake Houston and there is deeper water on the backside of Sheldon that holds some large chuncks. Fish them as you would anywhere else with SB, worms, frogs, etc. Watch out for the large gator over in the back. He's always around but never bothers anyone.
