Hello all, Im new to this forum as of today because Im looking for help in finding a way to do some largemouth fishing in the Dallas area this week.

     I just found out from work that Im leaving for Dallas from minneapolis on 2/16 to do some work on the new Cowboy stadium. We made some stainless handrails and they need some rework. I need to take a drug test wed morning and Im off until friday morning before they will let me work.  Since I have almost 2 days of down time I would love to get out and do some bass fishing.

     Could any of you suggest any good bass lakes near by that I could rent a boat or even a guide?  I would prefer renting a boat just to save a little cash.  I would love to hit lake fork but something closer would be ideal due to time and transportation issues.  Any help and info would be greatly appreciated. Go to Fork.  Its the lake I go to this time of year and I'm 45 minutes to an hour away from Dallas.  Never gauged it from Dallas on my way through, but I'm guessing that your only talking an hour 15-30 minutes.  If you find the fish its well worth it.
