Anybody know about the Scrounger head by A Martens??

Featured Replies

I've seen it on local bait shops. What is the deal? Best i can tell it's design makes it swim like a Chatterbait, but it's for finesse fishing with a tiny fluke or alike on the back.

The head on that is very similar to the Berkly Realistix.  It creates a heavy side to side movement, but I can't see how you won't miss alot of fish with that chuck of plastic in the way.

Here's what the Realistix looks like.

Thanks for the links.

And, that looks like our very own Mrs Matstone in the clip. Way to go, girl.

For anyone who has used them my two questions are...

1.Any missed fish because of the plastic piece?

2. How durable is that platic piece?

:-?

Shhhhhhh!!!!!

i guess since yall FINALLY discovered them, throw on a LFT magic shad and hold on.

Looks like an unholy combo of a jig and a crankbait. I'll be ordering a pack from TW soon ;)

Martens was on the Bass Champ Journal podcast a few weeks ago and he sold me....even though he sounded like he was high ;D

Never once have I missed a fish because of the plastic piece. The plastic piece is very flexible, as for it being durable I have not had a problem with one yet.

is the long or short lipped version better? I assume the long one puts out more vibration?

Thanks,
