Lake of the Ozarks report.

Featured Replies

This is just a report for anyone that's going down there soon.

This past weekend I had a tournament on the grand glaize part. It was pretty tough to be honest, but I did manage to catch fish and place 3rd. The water is anywhere from 47-52 degrees, and its kind of stained. I was catching the majority of my fish on a Pointer (size 100). Although the fish were few and far between, it was the most consistent lure I used.

I did go to the Ozark Team Division weigh-in on Saturday. I think the winner had about 22 pounds. Other people were catching they're fish on green wiggle warts, shad raps, rattle traps, and shakey heads.

Hope this helps.

I've got a tournament out of Shawnee Bend this weekend.  All of this rain and possibly snow and cold weather should change things - just not sure if it will be for the better or worse.

I fished in the mid lake last week and the Pointer produced the only keeper out of 6 fish.  Water was anywhere from 48 to 54 and stained.

I've heard that Shawnee bend has had a great spinnerbait bite lately. My partner said he caught a 5 and a 6 on back to back casts. Might want to have one of them tied on.

Heading to LOZ april 16th-19th.  Will be looking forwar do to more info and will provide a report when I get back.

Last year was a muddy mess, but I ended up having some success on crawdad wiggle warts.
