If this isn't an April fools joke by Cam of Lake Fork Marina, this will be #7 on the all time list.

Bad news, Cameron said this fish isn't looking good, swallowed the hook.    Was said to be using live waterdog.

    Cam said pics to follow.

Great year for SAL's around the state, banner year thus far.

By the way, this year, Share Lunker #500 is worth $500 dollars a pound.

   Thats $6500 to start with.

Good luck, and I hope some Bassresource member endorses that check this year.

With a month to go for SAL's, and over 20+ being caught this year, it looks like #500 will come this year.

Someone is going to be very happy shortly. I hope it's me this weekend. I wouldn't put any money on it though.

Congratulations to the lucky angler. Great fish. Hope it survives, but doesn't sound promising.

I hope #500 sets the state record. That 18.18 has lasted long enough.

Cameron uploaded video to youtube.

   April fools joke.

I was hoping it was true for some lucky person. >;)

We left Lake Fork Marina yesterday morning at 7:00  AM with a smashed trolling motor that cut our last day of fishing, just the luck. ;)   A 12+ was caught by a female Crappie guide in Birch on a 1/8th oz jig and 8# test on Monday.

fork is cranking them out this year, we saw a lunker at the minnow bucket back in there live bait tanks waiting to be picked up.  havent broke that 13 barrier yet but it was cool to see one at least

fork is kicking them out, but Ivie had at least three over the last few days. Number 500 was caught there over the weekend.

Based on past performance, like most, it will depend on how fast the water drops past all that new growth that grew along the shorelines when she was down the past few years.
