Hello my name is Jerimy I'm going to Sam rayburn here in a few weeks and have never fished there in a boat. Done plenty from the bank, but I keep hearing about certian places to fish. I've found a Map online I see five fingers and caney creek, but where is black forest? I've also heard just about the whole south end of the lake is good. Any help is good thanks everyone.

If you are up there the second weekend of April then there should be the last wave of spawners up on beds, 5 fingers is a good area to fish during that time. 

I believe the black forest starts just below the 147 bridge and is on the west side of the lake, with the water so low it should be easily visible.

OK got out there this weekend went in to five fingers thats where we had most of our luck at caught a bunch of fish. Had one 7lbs and another 6.3lbs I think I missed more then I set the hook on. All and all we had a good time and got away from the house for a little while. Oh yah I took the camera but did not check the batteries before I left so no pics this trip.
